Wonderful. I've been looking for a high-level analysis for a long time. This is extremely valuable and interesting to me. It validates what I did know, and connects many dots. I appreciate the time and effort you've put into this body of work. It's like some crazy board game.
You have a line about joining the team. I'm not an analyst, just a business researcher. However, I'm a good proofreader/editor if you ever want one.
I appreciate your dedication. My intentions have been like dust bouncing on the moon. You encourage me to write more so I finish sooner. I'll bookmark this page and add reading you to my schedule :)
Aleks, thanks for the effort and sharing it with readers. Many ideas original and thought-provoking. Connected to the larger picture that you have discussed in two articles, I am wondering what would be your thoughts on countries like Afghanistan (particularly after handover to the Taliban), Central Asian States and the threat of terrorism/ISIS. Thanks
But to be honest, we (my team and I) need to think a little more about it, since we are NOT experts for Asia. Even though we consider Asia as absolutely important and as the future.
We surly will have articles about your questions, going forward.
Afghanistan is a very important country. Especially geopolitically because of its geographical position. Similar to Iran or Turkey.
And exactly because of this position, it was forced to suffer the last two decades.
There are two perspectives:
1) Afghanistan would have a very bright future, because it will become a major trade hub of the heartland, or say, Eurasia. Such countries benefit a lot.
Which of course is to the benefit of China.
Moreover it has borders with China.
2) That's why the US will do what it can, to keep the political situation in trouble in Afghanistan. As you correctly mentioned --> Terrorism and ISIS. The question of course is, how interested China will be in a stable Afghanistan on its borders. Especially for trade and logistical routes. If China considers it as a priority, then China will make sure, that terrorism won't become a problem. And then Afghanistan could become prosperous.
Well. I wish it to your people... You have suffered already too much.
As I said, regarding your other questions, we will surly have articles, going forward.
