To be honest, I find difficult to believe that Juraj Cintula is a lone wolf. I am prone to believe that he was radicalized and enabled by CIA or MI6.

Also, there are now videos of the moment of the shooting: is that how Slovak security is protecting their own PM? Good grief!

I also was wondering about his security detail...

What are Russia's troop reserves?

Can they open up a front by Sumy and stretch the Ukrainians further?

Will the Russians move from Vovchansk towards Kupyansk so the latter is pincered?

Can the tired troops west of Avdeevka be replaced? Will that area be secured,a new defence line, or will expansion continue?

Krasnohorivka and Chasiv Yar will soon fall.

Feeling isn't fact, but I feel that Russia's main game hasn't been revealed. Does it have 100,000 soldiers for a major offensive once Ukraine is sufficiently distracted? Where would that be?

Thanks for the Rafah premise.

Good questions. Let's wait and see.

Regarding the question of whether Russia has sufficient forces to open up another frontline:

It does. This isn't because it has a vast number of troops, but rather because not many are needed to open a small section of the frontline just to further stretch the Ukrainians.

Many perceive this as a large-scale invasion with division-sized movements. However, that isn't necessary. The impact of battalion-sized intrusions now mirrors the impact of division-sized intrusions from one or two years ago, primarily because Ukraine is severely depleted in terms of manpower.

The Russians now have about 800,000 soldiers for the SMO. The force in Kharkov is small. Initially, just a brigade or so. Now, 50,000 in all sectors, with reserves across the border estimated (?) at over 100,000. The Russians will likely retake Sumy and Kupyansk and Izium . They will not try to retake Kharkov City or Dnipro City for reasons outlined on my site in my articles on Odessa and Scott Ritter. First they must dismantle what I call the Maginot Grid, the network of fortified bases in the South where Ukrainian forces are concentrated. That will allow them to control transportation and logistics in the South and cut off supplies to Ukrainian forces there.

The Slovak Premier case is very interesting. It is a mere coincidence similar to two coincidences where two Boeing whistleblowers died within a few weeks.

I fully expect more such coincidences in the near future.

In Italy we say "colpirne uno per educarne cento", i.e. literally "punish one to educate one hundred". That's how I see Fico's assassination attempt, especially if you consider that European Parliament elections are just around the corner (~3 weeks from now). If you are interested, here is my take on what happened yesterday in Slovakia: https://geopolitiq.substack.com/p/assassination-attempt-against-robert

This punishment approach is proposed by Sun Tzu BTW. (The Art of War).

It is several centuries old. And yes, the Italians adopted it and rightfully so.

Thanks for the information.

This is a very good analysis, thank you, Alex. I really enjoy your writings. Concerning Robert Fico, the assassination attempt is a real shock and I pray that Fico will survive. His assassin, Juraj Cintula, is an operative of “Progressive Slovakia", a very vile party siding with Ukraine and approving of all the other insanities. He is also the founder of the “Rainbow Literary Club”. He surely didn't act alone, because the whole opposition has been already extremely vicious in its attacks on Fico and other leading politicians.

"I personally think that the situation was well known in Kiev and in Washington as well. But decisions were made not to focus resources in this direction, because it was more important to plug holes at other front lines. So, after assessing the risk of an invasion from the north and coming to the conclusion that the risk is low, they may have decided against it."

If this is true, it is ironic, as Russia made the same calculation back in 2022 and Ukraine took advantage of it. which is how Ukraine achieved the one real military success it has had in this war.

This also was because Russia didn't devote enough troops to the war, leading to an entirely preventable and predictable catastrophe. Hell, bloggers on the internet could see that coming, just as the Kharkov incursion now was widely predicted.

The difference between the Kharkov sector in 2022 and today is that Russia had plenty of resources in 2022, while Ukraine is constrained by a lack of warm live bodies.

Another great piece, Aleks. Thank you.

Yes, Zionists hide behind Jews/Jewishness/antisemitism and have shown themselves more than willing to sacrifice Jews to their cause when necessary. The German NAZIs, a Zionist hoax/fraud/grift, were/are a good example, used as a chess piece in their quest for the creation of the state of Israel and The Third Temple in Jerusalem/Zion. Many senior German NAZIs were Jewish.

But who hides behind the Zionists?

I have hard time imagining Kharkov being handed over to the Russians the way the Russians handed over Kherson, i.e. largely intact.

The strategy, as you yourself have pointed out many times, is to do maximum damage to Russia.

The Nazis are in control of the city so it is in their control whether it is destroyed or not, and they don't even need to destroy it in the process of fighting for it street by street as happened to Mariupol, I can easily see them directly destroying the buildings with explosives as they retreat. There is a precedent for it already in Bakhmut. The only way that doesn't happen is a very rapid Russian move to encircle them leaving them no time to do it.

You are entirely right.

The Nazis would want to hold it forever.

The point is... there is a discrepancy between what one would WANT to do and what one CAN PHYSICALLY do.

If all forces are depleted, there won’t be anyone significant left to defend or fight for Kharkov.

The Fico attempt is a shock to me. I’m still processing all that entails from this.

I wonder if there is a case to fight fire with fire? Although western leaders are just front men (and women) so it won’t make a difference anyways.

Better aim for the real pressure persons (they’re not public).

In any case this is very dangerous and anyone prepared to go against the projects of the puppet masters from now on needs to ensure their safety with impenetrable security.

In short, in my humble opinion, it was a signal to other (present and future) European leaders:

as ancient Romans would say, "Unum castigabis, centum emendabis" (i.e. "punish one to warn one hundred").

Since anti-semitism is defined as a hatred of Judaism and its followers, Jews, then clearly Zionism is anti-semitic. Why?

Because the Zionist Israelis commit atrocities and bestial barbarities and claim they are doing it in the name of Jews when such actions debase and defame the religion of Judaism and trigger hatred of the religion and its followers.

Expand full comment

"Semite" includes Jews as well as Arabs and other ethnicities that speak one of several languages that are derived from a common root. "Antisemitic" is not restricted to hatred of just one group.

"Antisemitic" is part of the propaganda campaign to "victimize" the Jewish people. This is an inappropriate characterization.

Expand full comment

Yes, I understand the meaning of Semitic and that Jews, a religion, have some members with Semitic links just like Muslims, Christians, Hindus etc., but most Jews have no Semitic ancestry.

Anti-semitism is an old term for Jews from centuries past when it was believed Jews were all from the Middle East. They were not and they are not.

Anti-semitic is a fairly useless term in modern times because Jews do not suffer persecution but Muslims do. And unfortunately the term, anti-semitism, has been tossed around by the Zionists as applying to valid criticism of the atrocities of the Israeli State.

Anti-semitism, has meant and still means hatred of Judaism and its followers.

Antisemitism doesn’t exist unless ‘semitism’ can be coherently defined.

1973: At an annual conference in Israel sponsored by the American Jewish Congress, former Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban laid out the new strategy: “Let there be no mistake: The New Left is the author and the progenitor of the new antisemitism … the distinction between antisemitism and anti-Zionism is not a distinction at all. Anti-Zionism is merely the new antisemitism”.

Surely the end of Ukraine has happened. That signifies Russian advances.

Ok... Sir and fellows... let me ask You all a question.

As I am prone to think that we here are, more or less, all awaken to the situation, I wish to ask You all... Do You think it's better to go and vote to the approaching EU election or not?

In my Country all the 5 mayor parties are frankly jokes... so the alternative is... going to vote someone else without any real possibility (but increasing the vote statistics) or stay at home, maybe giving them some shills...

Please suggest...

Thanks!

But increasingly I'm leaning toward just staying home. My time is too valuable to waste on their game. I simply have better, more productive, activities to spend it on. 🤷

Here in Australia voting is compulsory at all 3 levels (federal, state and local) but you don't necessarily have to vote for any candidates. Only 'correct' votes are counted as valid and called 'formal' votes. If you cast an 'informal' vote (eg. not following instructions on the votung card), your vote won't be counted, but you still fulfill the 'compulsory' part by going to the ballot anyway. I've known and seen people drewing dick pics and wrote obscenities on the voting paper just to give a middle finger to a rigged-from-the-start system.

If it helps, in my country (Spain) we are in a similar situation, I suppose like in almost all EU countries. I think that we really vote to form a quite useless parliament, with little decision-making power and that it is another link in the chain of operations of unipolar globalism on the continent. However, the results of the votes serve to reveal the opinion of the people towards the current governments of each country. Therefore, in my country it is important that the government knows that the people are fed up and firmly against their policies, and that they deserve a big kick in the ass, so we must look for voting options to achieve this objective. And if there are no clear alternatives, it is always good to rotate politicians in positions of power so that their narcissism and their feeling of "free hand to do whatever I want" are not fed. Maybe that makes it worth going to vote, even if it's all part of a big circus...
